About this Condition

Adrenal cortical carcinoma is a very rare but aggressive form of cancer which originates in the outer layer (cortex) of the adrenal gland.

It can be hormonally active, and then cause an increase in hormone production, or hormonally inactive, where it maintains normal hormone production.
