About this Condition

A hernia is when tissue or an organ bulges/moves into a cavity where it doesn’t normally sit.

It is usually due to a defect in the fascial tissues that separate and define these cavities.

In the case of a groin hernia it is when the intra-abdominal fat or bowel moves into the scrotal sac, inguinal canal or femoral canal.
